I purchased this to have a different experience in driving games, the reason I bought this was they went down in price and Xbox 360 makes great products. The reason why I give this product a 1 star is I was given the wrong product I bought this and someone sent me a cheap piece of crap racing wheel, the one I bought isn’t wireless it has stupid stickers on it. The one I bought is this Xbox 360 Wireless racing wheel, some how they sent me a Xbox 360 MC2 Racing Wheel by Mad Catz. I hate it It wasn’t even made in thought of the 360 I feel that I was ripped off and cheated out of my $[. . . ]. I demand an explanation please amazon my review is not against this product but the product that I received.

I bought this as a gift and he has said it’s heavy, hot and wobbly on your lap so he hasn’t played the game or used the steering wheel after the first day.

I think this product is a total rip off. The description of it says that it is a wireless racing wheel, but when I opened the box I found cables. The only way to get force feedback and to use the pedals is to use the stupid cables. I was very mad about this. You’d think that Microsoft would at least make an $100 product wireless. Also with the installation disk: where is it? All I recieved was a stupid game demo for forza motorsport 2 which I already have and no installation whatsoever. I am going to call Microsoft support and ask how you install the wheel. If anyone else has this problem please tell me how to fix it.

I got this wheel on Mopnday 12/24/07 and I’ve spent more than 4 hours on the phone with MS Xbox360 support. These people have yet to come up with a solution. My problem is that the wheel’s controls (X, B, A, Y, Start and the two paddles under the wheel) functions great IN THE DASH BOARD -even with two controllers connected- but Not at all in the Forza 2 or NFS Pro Street. I haven’t tried to use it in other Burnout, Flat-out UC and others that I have because of this problem. Another problem is that the user manual states that it first must have the drivers downloaded by inserting the disc that came with it, but it never does download anything; it goes straight to the game demo that’s on he disc. So if you have an answer to these issues, please let me know. Additionally, only one controller (wheel or handheld) may be connected while on the games.

PROS:
The only good thing I can say is that the wheel looks beautiful in materials used, feels realistic as does the force feedback, and the pedals look of high quality metal compared to the plastic used on other wheels. The table clamp is a nice touch.
CONS:
I bought this new 12/2008 and tried it on my new Xbox 360.
Using the demo disk with the wheel is frustrating since their is a slow response between me turning the wheel, and the vehicle on screen reacting to the turn. I would say the lag in response is about 1/2 a second. This is more evident when you go over 60 mph.
Not one to give up I went out and purchased a new racing game called PGR4. I tried all three wheel calibrations but to no avail. There is always a 1/2 second wheel lag.
Anyone expecting to have good control of the car or cycle will be disappointed. Its virtually impossible to move up very far in career mode with this lag since you have to be going well over 80+ mph to be successful and must be able to control the car in turns. I ran into the wall many times despite the fact I was turning way ahead of time.
I suspect this lag has something to do with the fact the wheel is wireless, and that microsofts design team has a bit of a reputation for coming out with low quality products. I returned it after 2 days. I am going to experiment with some 3rd party wheels to see if I will have better luck.
